WESTERLANDS CROSS COUNTRY CLUB presents the BEN LOMOND HILL RACE

Saturday 10h May 2008 at 1pm

9 miles 3192ft

The race will have a limited entry of 175 runners to meet the concerns of the landowners (the National Trust for Scotland) over erosion on the path. The route will be stewarded and there will be safety cover provided by the Lomond Mountain Rescue Team who will also provide medical first-aid facilities at the finish. Competitors must carry full wind-proof body cover and a whistle. There will be a compulsory kit check before the race.

Please note that there will be a time allowance of 45 minutes to the halfway checkpoint. (This corresponds to an estimated finishing time of 2 hours 15 minutes.) Runners failing to reach the checkpoint in this time will be required to turn back. If you are unsure of being able to meet these times, please do not enter.

At registration, all runners will be given a meal ticket which will entitle them to a bowl of soup and a roll in the hotel after the race.

Please share cars where possible as parking is extremely limited at Rowardennan. Please do not use the hotel carpark.
